Contemplating buying one of the 2 right now. I can get a set for about 350 dollars. For either ..

Well, it seemed like a no brainer to me as well.

But, for 350 dollars I can get Tokico Blues with Tokico Springs ..

or

I can get Tokico Illuminas with no springs.

 

ah i see. well what suspension do you have now (if any)?

 

None right now ..

But, I wouldnt be against buying a different brand of coilovers. I dont know anything about the quality of the tokico springs .. plus the max drop you can get out of them I hear is 1.75 inches.

I second that. You can get the illuminas with springs on ebay for $470 shipped. You're almost there. Just save the rest of that money. You won't be disappointed.

I want a good adjustable coilover something that I can get a good drop out of. And I want this set up to be TIGHT. None of that bouncing around garbage.

 

TIGHT as in stiff, or TIGHT as in "hey y0 man thats tite!"...?

Then go with the illuminas since they're 5 way adjustable and some GC coilovers. For shocks you could also go with the KYB reds, but they're a little more pricey and I'm not sure of the compatibility with GCs.

 

you can get KYB AGX's for $350- on eBay.

 

i've got the illuminas with skunk2 coils w/teg spring rates right now. it's very stiff, actually too stiff for me.

 

Blues suck. Enough said.
