My wife's timing belt just broke and it bent the valve stems and I already had a rod bearing problem, so I am trying to decide whether I should replace the engine now. Also it currently has a DOHC engine. What other engines would fit into the 1994 Lude Si?

Get a H22A (VTEC). 30-40HP more and about a second faster in the 1/4. You should be able to find a good low milage one for around $2,000.

i would just get an jdm h22 longblock, will fit right in, all u need is an ecu would be like 1350-1400

 

Which DOHC is it, the h23a* or the h22a*? Not that it really matters, you could get the longblock for fairly cheap anyways.
