ive been searching on this topic. i know OBDII cars could get a CEL. and it could hurt gas mileage. Can i remove the canister and plug the hole? or will the at cause excess pressure in the gas tank.

 

i dont have one in my integra, and it drives fine.

 

kinda want to know about this too b/c i'm getting ready to put a y8 im on my y7 engine

 

My car drives fine without one. Only time i wish i have one is when the fan is on in the car and i'm stopped. It sprays gas fumes into my car.

Don't want to buy one cause it's $175 from honda. It's just going to have to wait.
