i have a 91 accord ex with sport shift. 171,000 miles on it.
so i'm driving to go wash it, and i get half way there, and my car starts shaking. so i pull over. it keeps shaking. so i turn around and try to drive home. the car shakes the whole way home, i smell a burning smell and a loud noise is coming from the engine compartment. every time i pull up to a stop light the car shakes worst. it seems as if the car is gonna shut off or something. somehow i make it 20 blocks back home. as i am reversing to park, i feel a very strong shake in the back , around the right wheel, thats why i think its the tranny and not the engine.

anyway, what u guys think this is, and who much is a rebuilt tranny repair cost about
i know a dude trying to sell me a 95 mustang with 130,000 on it for $1000. iono what to do

 

yeah sounds like the clutch is burning up in the tranny happened to me

 

so what can i do?
or is it too late
someone told me to pour some tranny fluid in there or get it flushed out

*torque converter* definantly flush and replace fluid ASAP......and dont buy that rustang....itll fall apart in a week

 

explain this flush to me please, is this something i can do
and i am tentative about buying a ford with that many miles on it, but the increase in HP and its alot newer then a 91, and its only $1000

If its a Gt buy that **** 5.0. But if its a v6 screw it to hell

 

5.0's are nice.... well to mechanics they are, they come into the shop alot

well it was a v6, but that still a 100hp jump over my accord. but it got sold already anyway

 

good. you made the right choice and did not by the rustang. the 95 v6 are turds anyway. if it was a 5.0 id take it cuz that was the last year for the 302 5.0! but then id just sell it again after it started crapping out on me
