What Sway Bars do you guys recommend?
Hey, I'm tossed up with what sway bars I should run on my type-S. Should I just get a JDM rear sway bar, or the Progress front and rear kit, or the hotchkis street kit, or the neuspeed?
DC-5 understeers to much and you just need a rear sway. I think JDM is a worthy upgrade for it's price but sure bigger is better for the DC5.
I agree, any rear rotation you can get is a definite plus. Progess has very well developed parts and so does hotchkis. While it is probably milder than the aftermarket bars, the ITR rear sway is a great low cost solution to getting more rear end rotation.
ive been thinking about getting the comptech rear tie/swaybar(non-ajustable) combo for my ep. wondering if anyone else has it and what they thought about it.

im happy with my hotchkis front and rear sway setup - but i have to say if i was doing it over from scratch i would probably go with a jdm rear bar and leave the front stock - best bang for the buck going!!

i'll be getting the comptech rear sway for my EP3, but w/o the tie bar. it's 22 mm, like the CTR rear sway and about the same price, so i'd figure i'd give it a shot since i'm a comptech *****.
but back on topic, progress's rear sway for the EP3 hits the exhaust, even the OEM exhaust piping. is this an issue w/ the DC5?

no ity's not an issue as long as everything is lined up correctly.

25 mm is pretty stiff for a rear sway on the EP3. from what i've read, 22 mm is stiff enough.
but to answer your question, a stiffer rear sway will reduce body roll and help your car rotate around easier (i.e. reduce understeer). the downside is your rear tires will break away easier if your tires aren't sticky enough. so if you're taking turns on the street too fast, you could lose control as your rear slides out.
