Idea for wtdr and camera phones.....
I know many of us have or are getting camera phones which can easily email pics to an email addy. Well, how about setting wtdr up so that it will accept an email (pics@we-todd-did-racing.com for example), and automatically host those pics for viewing for a 24 hour period? Then it could erase them automatically on a timer.
That way, people could snap a pic, let it email to wtdr, then go to wtdr later to find it and copy it to their account - or let it be erased if it turns out it sucked.
Thoughts?
AssPenny, what do you think?

Seems to make more sense. Maybe we're missing something?

2 reasons:
First, the issue of TIME - some of us are on a less than optimal dialup connection, and must get on the net, check email, save pic to hard drive, go to wtdr, transfer pic there, etc. Get it?
Second, the camera pics would be smaller and would take much less space than digicam photos. This would be a public page - so everyone could see every pic that has been uploaded in the last 24hrs. It would be like a "pictures of the day" page. Could be kind of fun and interesting. It could also be a way to give wtdr more publicity, and functionality. Besides, I know of no other site doing such a thing.

we (the public) could have access to pics immediately which would be kinda cool. Sorta like, just for example, Ken is on an escalator at the mall behind some hot chick in a short skirt, snaps a quick upskirt pic and we simultaneously post about it on HT and everyone can ********** at once! lol

OK, I kinda see the 2nd reason...but...the 1st one is totally bogus...you'll still need to use dialup and log in to wtdr to see the picture and dload it back your pc...

Unless of course you have a real internet connection like cable modem or DSL
Dialup is for AOL **** and people who live in west virginia

I've already been working on it for hyperpic.com . You get an email address at hyperpic, then you email the picture from your phone to that email address and it will automaticaly place the picture in a folder for you and create a thumbnail.

I could create something like public@hyperpic.com and it would post it on a public page so everybody could see it. They would only last 24-48 hours. This sounds like a cool idea, maybe also be able to send pictures from your account to the public board.
Craig - Who adds another work item to the already huge hyperpic work list

I knew you'd like it Craig!
Seriously, Pollo I know you don't quite get it - but if the pic get's uploaded to wtdr, then it's already on that site and would require 1 step to transfer to your wtdr account, instead of the 4+ steps to upload to hard drive, dialup to wtdr, transfer, etc... Get it?
Anyway, public@hyperpic.com sounds like an awesome idea!!!
