where does it hit the hood at? take some of the underbracing off where it hits the hood

get playdough and place it on the valve cover. Close the hood and find out where it hits. Cut the bracing and your set.

the ZC hood is a Sir bump w/ USDM headlights, its ok. You need to cut bracing.

Did u use the b16 kit or b18 kit (the b18 kit lowers the engine slightly, for this exact reason)

I believe hasport has two EF bseries kits, 1 kit for b16 and 1 kit for everything else. the 2nd kit (non b16 kit) lowers the engine slightly more then the b16 kit.

am I wrong?

N/M I have been misinformed.

I just went to their site. It says you need to use a 90-93 teg left hand mount bracket to lower the engine slightly. ???

"Thank you for purchasing the Hasport EFB1 bolt in mount kit. This kit is designed to bolt in the 1st generation B16A, B17A and B18A engines into the 88-91 Civic or CRX. It can also be used to bolt in the B18C, B18B and B20B/Z engines with the addition of a different left-hand engine bracket (90-93 Acura Integra) Acura part no. 11910-PR3-010 and one of the 89-93 B-series cable transmissions."

I believe they are making a new kit that allows you to have better hood clearance.

Try that and if that still doesn't work try to shim the motor down with some high grade washers between the block mount and the mount kit.

i have first generation hasport mounts, the old school welded ones and i had no problem with fitment and stock hood with a b18c at all.
something doesnt seem right on that height at all, my motor doesnt peek out like that.

You have to use the cable b-series drivers (USDM) engine mount with that kit, thats the difference. It doesn't have anything to do with lowering the engine. There is more than one EF-B mount kit, but its either for use with cable motors or hydro motors (new kit). Hasport has very carefully engineered their mount kits for proper ground clearance and axle angles. Thats why cheap mount kits aren't worth it, cause you end up going through axles once every 3 months. Besides, Hasport is great with their customers and they really know there stuff.

did you line up the rear mount to the proper hole?... on my ef i had to bash the cross member about 5 times so that the mount would make the rear of the engine sit about 1/2in-3/4in lower than it normally sat...i had no clearance issues....

i dont think hasport has came out with the b18 kit for 88-91 yet. i cant remember when brian said it was going to be out. but i am pretty sure its not out yet. only the b16 kit is out right now. i could be wrong though. but i just looked on their website and its not listed either

If you have the cable to hydro conversion mount kit it will make your motor stick up like that. My bro has it and we had to beta the **** out of the hood in order to make it work

i think the problem is your rear mount... did you dent down your rear crossmember? if that isnt the porblem i dont know what is.. and all you guys talking out of your *** just close it... b18 and b16 from the mounts up are the same... the b18 just hangs lower..... dealt...
