Default non-vtec distributers on vtec heads...

what does it take to do this conversion? I know it needs to be modified, but does anyone have a write up or anything? any help would be appreciated. need to get my ls/vtec off the ground, and can't spend anymore money....

You just have to cut one of the legs off (3 legs on dissy; the 3 bolts that hold it to the head) they say you only need 2; but I ended up just buying a new dissy for 175 shipped from disturbutor king

yeah. I was going to do the same thing; I researched a ton about it. Like I said; I found it easier just to buy a new one from distrubutor king for 175 shipped and it had a 3 year warranty...you cant go wrong. sell your ls one and dont cut it up. buy the rightone. you jimmy rig ****; it could go wrong

I wouldn't recomend trying to swap. When I had to change my distributer they sent me one for a non-vtec and it won't fit properly. I don't know if the internals are the same but i'd try to get the right one.

the non vtec dizzy works...but dont waste your time just buy a vtec dizzy

i have a 91 teg and used my dizzy and cut one of the legs off and it works fine never had any problems

then its hard to resell it if you ever buy the correct dizzy and you chose to sell youre non-vtec dizzy thats now handicapped
