non-vtec distributers on vtec heads...
what does it take to do this conversion? I know it needs to be modified, but does anyone have a write up or anything? any help would be appreciated. need to get my ls/vtec off the ground, and can't spend anymore money....
You just have to cut one of the legs off (3 legs on dissy; the 3 bolts that hold it to the head) they say you only need 2; but I ended up just buying a new dissy for 175 shipped from disturbutor king

yeah. I was going to do the same thing; I researched a ton about it. Like I said; I found it easier just to buy a new one from distrubutor king for 175 shipped and it had a 3 year warranty...you cant go wrong. sell your ls one and dont cut it up. buy the rightone. you jimmy rig ****; it could go wrong
I wouldn't recomend trying to swap. When I had to change my distributer they sent me one for a non-vtec and it won't fit properly. I don't know if the internals are the same but i'd try to get the right one.
