shocks/springs?
Well, Im kinda afraid to ask you guys this because of how dumb it must sound to you, but im just tryin to learn...anyway, my car hates bumps, even the smallest of them feel terrible in my car. What do I need to buy to help this? Shocks?
While Im asking, are adjustable springs all I need to drop my car, wheel gap is like 3 inches right now... lol
And can someone explain what coilovers are? Are they both shocks and springs?
Thank you all for your patience, and sorry if I sound very dumb askin these things.

did you cut your springs to lower the car? what kind of springs do you have. what are you riding on?
my best guess on your harsh ride is you forgot to trim your bump stops. same problem i encountered with my first springs.
adjustable springs are all you need to lower your car. however your dampers will go dead not too long after and you will be bouncing everywhere and can be very dangerious.
coilovers are the spring/damper combo, sleeve over are those adjustable springs only. atleast thats how i looked at them.
list more info about your car maybe i can give you better info.

I think u got blown shocks. Then what are Ground Controls & Skunk 2s? They are also coilovers but with no shock just an adjustable height spring
"Coilovers" as they're most often refered to, are just adjustable height springs. True coilovers are an integrated adjustable spring/damper combo. Don't get coilover springs with OEM shocks. They will blow out very quickly, and you'll wish you had just saved your money and gotten something better the first time. A ground control/koni combo or tein ss is probably what I would look at if I were you. You can't go wrong with either of those for street and occasional track use.
