Default Cracked Exhaust Manifold on '99 DX

Hi all. New to Hondas thx to my girlfriend. She has a '99 DX, with what I believe is a D16Y7 engine, automatic trans, and a cracked exhaust manifold. I've only pulled the heat shield off to locate and verify the crack. It looks like the cat converter is part of the manifold (true?) . We need to keep it emissions legal, and since we will be driving it around 100 miles a day, as quiet as possible. Are there any other year manifolds that will fit this thing? Let's keep it to factory manifolds for now (unless headers and cat will be about the same $$$, which I doubt)

Mani/Header, and Cat. 2 Seperate parts. You only need to replace the stock mani. I think a y8 will fit. Any aftermarket header will be louder then the stock. but not much.

It's not two seperate pieces on the d16y7. It's all one piece just the way he described it. You can probably find another one on Honda Tech for pretty cheap. I'm sure alot of people have d16y7s laying around after their swaps.

Thx, looks like a trip to the salvage yard this weekend. If I can't find one online, or at the yard, maybe I can convert it over to the separate cat and manifold setup. We'll see I guess.

This is a known issue with the d16y7 manifolds, honda extended the warranty on 96-97 civics to 150k miles or something and the 99-00s to 80k miles. They'll replace the manifold for free.

Hey, I just discovered that mine is also cracked. I just called Honda and they said it is warrantied as long as it has under 160,000 kms on it (I am in Canada). So that's a relief.
