Default 01' ex v6 coupe....what kind of VTEC

Like the title says. I drive a DC5S but my friend drives the accord. Is his vtec like mine where it kicks in at a certain rpm, or is it like the accord 4 banger where when you put your foot in it it kicks in. Just wanted to know because my friend has one and we're looking to mod. I just like to know as much as possible about it. Also, what's the chassis code? Thanks in advance. Just remeber guys, I'm new to accords so don't flame me

i dont really think the v6 performance here is that popluar but http://www.v6performance.net is the place for you and your friend. Lots of info there on the V6 accord.

Also the VTEC on the 6 is not the same as the 4 banger, it has a certain rpm when it kicks in but i dunno it yet, i just recently picked up my AV6. I could be wrong?

So, it's got the vtec where it kicks in when ever? Or are you talking about the chassis code? By the way J30A=engine code? That's what I took out of it. It's not like I'm a newbie it's just I don't know a lot about the accords, hence why I asked here in this forum. Can anyone be a little more specific? A little help goes a long way guys. Thanks

Thanks man, preshnates it. So, the vtec it has it like the si's(K20A3) where it goes from 12 to 16 valves @2200rpm and uses the shorter runners on the intake? Only it would be 3500rpms and goes from x amount of valves to 32? Thanks again
