Default putting together a custom exhaust

can someone recommend a good muffler to use?
how about pipe size? also, i plan on adding a high-flow cat but i'm unsure what to go with.

i'm going to have a local muffler shop do the dirty work for me.
i just need a good jump start

Basically the muffler is just there for sound.

The most inportance is going to lie in the piping diameter and the way it bends. Don't get a crush bent exhaust, it will be useless. And, unless you are going to be a heavily modified N/A engine or forced induction....keep the ehxuast to a maximum of 2.5" inside diameter.

And don't leave out the resonator. I just had them leave mine off, and its loud as hell. But thats with a Tanabe RM style too.

Look into tkeller.com they have good stainless steel piping for a good price. grab a resonator or two from him while your at it. For a muffler use a es oval or mangaflow for a stock looking exhaust. You should have a pretty well flowing, good looking, and sounding exhaust if you did it that way....estimated cost....under 400 bucks
