just went down to the garage and measured mine.
on the driver side the bottom right corner of the 'R' is 2 1/4 inches from the wheel well and 5 3/4 inches up from the bottom of the body pannel
on the passenger side the left corner of the 'T' in 'Type' (i'm talking about the horizontal line of the 'T' not the verticle) is 2 1/4 inches from the wheel well and 6 3/8 inches from the bottom of the body pannel

hrm didn't even think about this. i'll have to verify the actual placement with the theoretical placement.
