12v Igniton wire locate in picture
Which one of these is the 12v Ignition wire (the one that gets power when car is turned on) Im guessing its either the Blue w/ white strip, or the White w/ blue strip? LIL HELP??
There are two that get power and I think one is hot all the time.
There are 2 accessory positions so you get two accessory wires.
I think one of them is the fat white wire and the other might be the blue with white stripe. It's been a while so you have to get a voltmeter and test it.
They work differently. I believe the white one works the circuit for the interior heater blower motor. The other wire does the radio and other things. One stays on until you remove the key completely. The other turns off the accessory when you turn the key out of the ACC position. I think the constant power is the thick black wire.
EDIT: If you don't have a voltmeter you can use a test light or even rig your own test light. To rig your own, get a 12 volt light bulb. Attach (solder) some wire to the metal that is on the base of the bulb. Attach another wire to the little bump of metal at the bottom of the bulb. Hook EITHER wire (does NOT matter which wire) to ground - any solid metal part of the car. Push the other wire into the connector on the wire in question. Turn the key and see when/if it lights up.
