Default Fuel filter

Honda civic 2003 ex manual. I couldnt locate the fuel filter in my car. also called the dealer and said that don't need to change the fuel filter until 110,000 miles. Why is it ? strange to me. need more info about this.

the fuel filter is inline wiht the fuel pump (which is right on top of the fuel tank). it's a PITA to get at. honda designed it to have an extended service life. basically, if you're getting adequate fuel pressure (i think helms specifies greater than 45psi) you're golden.

they just want to change it for you during the tune-up lol, but really, it isn't necessary unless you're running some major boost or n/a which in case you will have upgraded the fuel components already.
