I posted this in GDD but this is probably a better place to post it. Has anyone here made their own body panels? For a summer project I want to fab up a new front bumper, and I don't know where to start. What materials should I use, urethane, fiberglass, etc. Has anyone found a good book on it? Thanks for any help.

BTW I have a 92 prelude and I want to make an alternative for those of us who don't want to pay $1,000 for a Mugen front bumper.

 

Ive got all summer to do it, plus I really want to do it as a learning experience. If I fail, oh well, no harm done.

 

i wouldnt not recommend trying this...but u could but a fiberglass bumper and fiberglass over the holes so its a solid face bumper then cut out ur own holes to have the look u want

 

Any other suggestions, or book recommendations?
