C west style EK front bumper on EG
Hey there. I'm interested in learning what would be involved in this since there is a C west style front bumper for an EK for sale locally for cheap. I've seen EGs before with EK bumpers and grilles and it looks nice, and is a little more clean then cutting holes in an EG bumper/hood to allow more air into the engine bay/radiator/intercooler. The C west looks kinda OEM relatively speaking, would match the body lines pretty good and would allow more room for an intercooler and make my car more interesting. The downside is that it's fiberglass and lower than a stock bumper and in event of a crash or something it would be a bitch.
The thing is that my stock '92 Honda front bumper is damaged quite a bit and this is probably just as cheap as a repair to the stocker and actually adds some induviduality to the car since this is not a bolt-on cosmetic affair.
My hood is pretty fucked up too from rocks and there's pretty good dents in it, too... probably from one of the previous owners hitting a person at slow speed or something... So if i have to saw it up to accept an EK grille, that's cool with me. Besides, all of Honda's vehicles have real front grilles between the headlights now, it must be there for a reason.
I have an amazingly good body shop two doors down from my house that I have actually seen modify bumpers to fit on other cars very good (VW corrodo bumpers on a scirroco) which would be a very similar undertaking to this.
so is it worth it? anyone here done this before?

I cannot believe you're actually asking this questions.
You ever notice how integras jdm and usdm don't have that grill? That's right, same chassis champ. Keep the eg bumper, or buy a new one. Don't hack up an EK bumper to make it fit.

wow, what a helpful attitude.
I DON'T WANT YOUR WORTHLESS OPINION ON WHETHER OR NOT YOU LIKE THE EG BUMPER MORE ON MY CAR, I WANT TECHNICAL INFORMATION FROM SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT. ITS MY CAR LAST TIME I CHECKED AND I LIKE HACKING UP ****. It's what seperates me from the bolt on yuppies that can't torch weld grind or in this case zip cut. Go get a strutbar professionally installed, OEM bandwagon champ. I'll go take my gowjob out for a ride.
