Is this Turbine Housing getting too much heat?
Ok, here's a pic of the turbine housing, this is after just driving around not boosting......

Is the turbine housing supposed to turn that color? It seems as it's getting too hot? This is my first "new" turbo that I use, the others were all kinda rusted color.
If it is too hot..what could be the reason? The manifold's turbo flange..is not really "pretty" and I am in the process of porting that so it's proper..here's what that looks like now:

Could this make the difference? The air is not properly going to the turbine housing? Causing a lot of heat?
or maybe the timing is too advanced/retarded?
This is on a 1998 Prelude.
Any questions to help diagnose or comments, please help me.
The Manifold is now at the machine shop to get the head and turbo flanges milled flat, since they got warped and exhaust was leaking.

Don't worry about it. Unless you are running EGTs high enough to melt your engine the exhaust shouldn't be too hot for the turbine.
That's rather normal. Unless they are jethot or ceramic coated before heat is exposed to it, they will all do that. But to make sure it's not happening too fast, just see if you're running pig rich... If so, the process may accelerate, but if it's a quality turbo, should withstand it. It will just turn that rust Brown

Yeah, Still ahve to get a EGT gauge, I will be getting that by the weekend when the manifold will be put back on.
With the porting of the manifold, the milling of the flanges, the EGT gauge I'm hopping that it will be ok.
I'm running a 2.5" downpipe.

LOL Yeah, I welded once, then I did a weave pass over top.... 
It's REALLY hard to weld a manifold with a MIG I found. Maybe I wasn't using enough heat..I dunno.
Would have been much better with a TIG.
The other thing I learnt.....if you're going to build a LOG manifold....buy the correct parts to build a log manifold.
I bought a kit from JGStools.com/turbo and was planning to do a 4-1 style, but realized when test fitting that it really wouldn't work. If I would have bought a log style kit, with the 2 T's it would have been 100000000000 times better.
Oh well.
As long as it works after porting for a couple hours and getting the flanges milled.
