15" rims ON FRONT 17"rims ON BACK???SMART OR STUPID
I have ek hatch with a gsr swap and I have a lot of traction issues. I think its because of my 17" rims. I bought the 17"s because they were cheap, now the same store is selling the exact same rims in a 15". Should I buy 2 - 15" rims 205/50/15 with azenis for the front and leave the 17" on back? I don't do motorcross just ocasional street race because its my daily driver. Would that combo be Ok for daily driven, please any replies would be helpful. Thanks
What about 15" on the front and 17" on the back just to go to the races on the weekend and switch them back for daily driver, do you think i would notice any difference????
just buy 4 15s.....and get rid of the 17s.
unless you like the bling bling of the big wheels.
if youre worried about traction and **** like that on 17s, just add some steelies with good tires for the streets......
or some REAL slicks with bogarts for the track.....
i suggest buying all 4 15s.... but i have feeling you like the look of the 17....
if the 15 inch wheel comes in a decent width, do it.

But with the 15" on the front and the 17" on the back will that cause any problems to the suspension or to the handaling???
If your 17's are plus sized then the overall diameter of the wheel & tire should be the same as a stock 14 wheel & tire.... so in theory it should work just fine with 17's on the rear and 15's on the front but I would definitely throw some slicks on the 15's. Personally I would stick with all 15's though
This has got me thinking though... I'm probably way off base with this but I wonder if having some big wheels in the back with some good stiff springs would help reduce weight transfer and keep the body and weight leaning forward over the front wheels? Just a thought. How big do skinnys come?

the only advantage i see to big wheels in the back is that you can run a low pro tire w/ a really stiff sidewall. kinda like what road racers do you could reduce weight transfer.
But this benefit, if real, is probably more then cancelled out by the extra weight of a bigger rim and heavier tire that you gotta drag down the track now.
Id run a 15"

I'd definitely run 15's too. I was just curious if there were any benefits of a larger wheel. As for weight, what is the biggest skinny wheel available?
