Default Fake Skunk2 Manifold?

i did a search on this for a while and could not find what i was looking for. my buddy bought this manifold on EBay from some guy. it did not come with any paper work what so ever when he received it. it came in a plain white box with no markings at all. i have seen other manifolds on here that have stamping on the plenum and on the runner for cylinder #2. as you can see there are no stampings. did my buddy get shafted? sorry for the last two blurry pics.

there are skunk2-like manifolds out there. dunno about quality, but they should perform very similar imo.

here is the real skunk2 manifold:

the fact that it is a skunk2-like manifold is the main concern. For all matter's it could perform equally or even better, but the build and quality is unknown.

Mine doesn't say Skunk2 or have any markings anywhere. It did come in that black box with stickers and crap though.

just like xx dc2teg xx said, the main concern is that its real. my buddy paid over $200 dollars for it. personally i wouldnt pay $200 dollars for something that was fake. im sure all of you wouldnt either. im thinking about telling him just to call Skunk2 and ask them..

well, my friend contacted Skunk2 and they basically said that its a fake. They said that there is no way to tell the difference, but the fact that it came in a plain white box with no papers is enough for them to consider it fake.

on the link you posted i saw the manifold and the description and there are no recessed bolt holes..

this is more along the lines of false advertisment... truth... at this point horsepower doesnt matter.. the fact that he spent $2xx and expected something but did not get it..
