I understand an MMC is coming up for the next year. Anyone have any details?

 

MMC???

 

Minor Model Change. In the past it's been everything from slight body changes, to new engine availability. I'm sorta hoping that the Type R will come to the states so my wife will let me get a second RSX

 

A guy on another board said he's seen the brochure for the 2005 Si and it didn't have any new changes - I know you were talking RSX, but maybe that means there's an RSX brochure floating around somewhere as well.

 

if anyone has info please post it! i need to know if i should wait and buy an 05 or just buy an 04 at or below invoice?

 

So far here's what I know, and this info has been confirmed:

More HP (Type S)
New colours (I don't have all of them, but Orange will be available on the Type S)
Retuned suspension.
Revised front and rear ends. Possibly new wheels.

if they come out with some sweet colors...im leaving the dark and scary color car schemes along for ever. Id love to have a nice factory painted yellow type S..woohoo

 

My dealer showed me the order sheets for the 2005 cars. There might have been something about a spoiler on the Type S, but don't quote me on that one. The other info is solid though.

The "Blaze Orange" is a for sure... Saw the email on it the other day.

 

So is "Vivid Blue", "Jade Green" and Magnesium.... but "Blaze Orange" is only available in Type-S.... 'bout time for some exclusive color...

TOV confirms there is indeed a MMC. That's all I saw though.

As far as the spoiler goes, the only info is that it's a "factory installed spoiler" on the Type S. The Type S will also have larger wheels and tires (probably 17"), the rest will have new wheels.

 

send me a link that was announced by honda/acura and i'll believe this

 

every year, they say 20 more hp on the type s, basically the itr engine, so far it hasn't happened.

In Canada the '05 RSX will be out late August. As for the US, I'd assume a little earlier than that, but I don't know for sure.

Mugen84: You can believe what you want to, I've seen the official Acura releases, I just thought I'd pass it on.

As for an exact HP upgrade, I don't know. They didn't give a number. 10 is likely, 20 would be great.

 

i hope you can choose on what color of interior you want.....damn "tan interior" haha

 

Professor Gascan: if there's an hp upgrade, and about a couple months for development if it hasnt been chosen yet, is it really possible for honda to do it in 2 months and produce thousands of cars after they choose how much, im sure if there was an increase in hp they state it in your "official Acura releases" by now.

i've talked to a couple of my friends that work at the dealer, they all say if at most, there will be minor body changes, full red out tails. just like how the integs were. other then that, they have no word on hp increase. if they were to increase the hp they would bring over the itr, but they dont expect that for a while, which involves zero research on honda's part, which saves money, because they dont have to upgrade the type-s engine, the itr's are already 200+. scan a copy of those "official Acura papers" otherwise don't start rumors thats been talked about for months.
