d16z6 swap, need help with some stuffs, coolant switch?
Guys i just swapped a d16z6 on my 88 crx, im having troubles with the coolant switch since there is not plug on the back for the d16z6 block, what do i do?
also i think one of my grounds is not working well, when i start the lights rpms go compeltely down, water temp up, everything gets very ugly.
timing is too advanced, whats the correct position for the distributor? top leg in the middle?
vacuums and water lines, anyone?
need help asap.

there is a bolt in the hole where the switch goes. take it out and put your switch in. i'm getting ready to do the same swap. i think the z6 coolant switch is up by the vtec plug. correct me if i'm wrong. this is the site i have been looking at. maybe it'll help?

i think the sensor your looking for is located on the thermostat housing. Also this is where you would ground your engine harness to a 10mm bolt right by the sensor. You may have to extend your sensor wires to go from behind the motor to the housing.

yeah I did that, I even did the thing with the coolant switch, i figured it was that way, but colors dont match, I have one black on each one, then the other one is different, im guessing the black with black, etc. But it didnt work like that, my fan wasnt starting up.
what aobut the position for the distributor?
by the way, does anyone know a tutorial to rewire an obd1 distirbutor to work obd0?

take the banana plugs that go to the fan switch and wire in a 2 prong connector much like the TPS, IAT and others. it doesnt matter which wire goes to which, since the fan circuit just needs connected to work.
extend the wire to the brown plug on the thermostat housing and you're good to go.

and why is that that i have to change that plug?
by the way which one goes to the fan, the green or white plug on the harness?
im talking about the main fan, not the a/c fan
