i can't figure this out, my car won't start, it turns over but its like its not getting gas, i already replaced the distributor , and i also made sure the timing was dead on. I noticed that sometimes the fuel injectors won't come on it sounds like (b.c u can usually hear them fuel up) and when they don't it won't start, if they do it does for the most part but sometimes doesn't. Fuel pump maybe? any info would be greatly appreciated thanks alot guys.

 

check all of your grounds. but it does sound like you got a fuel pump problem.

 

if u want to check for faulty injectors, take one out at a time and put the injector in a cup of water, bubbles equal functional, wether or not they are 100% is anyones guess

 

and are u getting spark? check the wires. i had the same problem, right before i launched vs a camaro haha my car shut down. i felt like a moron, but it was the distributor..........and many "stupid ricer" comments arraised bc of that. so dont feel so bad, anyway since u changed it it may not be that, did u change the cap?

wouldn't that cause me to get water in my fuel? i'm not sure just asking

 

Is fuel pump priming when you first turn the ignition on?

 

Could be a faulty main relay.

ive had this prob too... when you sit in the driver's seat(if youre in the usdm vers. ), it will be a 1"x1" box next to your left knee under the dash. an easy way to tell if it could be the relay is crank the car and tap the relay. if it starts then its def. the relay. it took me weeks to figure it out. thanks to HT
