I am creating this for those who find innovative ways to do great things to our cars for nearly no money at all. I figure we can have a common place to put all the "home grown" stuff as well as putting in the open those cheap mods that made the most differance in our cars. My first contribution to this thread is the homemade grounding system. you dont have to spend a ton of money to add to your cars electrical flow and horse power. Go to your local car audio store and buy some 4g wire and 4g ring terminals, and start replaceing the ground wires in the engine bay. Simple as that....
soon to come: brake light interrupt switch including wiring diagram (so if they missed you with the radar, they dont see the brake lights as you slow down!)
Brake light interrupt as promised....(see post below for more details)
Please Post all of your own mods that are cheap, or innovative.
Coming in the next day or two, Stealth start button using existing cig lighter. (not just putting the button there, but making the cig lighter the button)
Stealth bass **** using cig lighter as the ****. (have actually done this 1 before, cool as hell)

Hey this is a pretty good idea for a thread. How about the good ol kill switches for your fuel pump.

Thats the link to it. Cost ya about 1-2 hours and $2-$10 bucks depending on what switch you buy!

I agree 100%! This is the best bang for your buck mod under $100, no contest. Funny thing is after everything I've done I STILL need to do this. Hope it's not a pain in the *** to get all the parts required.

just wondering, but does anyone have a tutorial or anything like it written up for the fuel cut-off switch mod? that sounds really interesting to me, and i am considering doing that. thanks in advance.
If going for safety, get better a better horn and some type of better light bulbs (sylver stars).

All you need: some 16g wire, female wire terminals (or a soldering iron), and 1x single pole double throw relay (SPDT) (siemens PN: VF4-45F11)
Brake light interrupt as promised.... the blue wire represents your brake wire just above the brake pedal, (teal rep's where it used to be) you have to cut it. Wire one side to pole 30 on your relay and the other side to pole 87A. when your switch is off, your brake wire will remain connected as normal, when you throw the switch, it "opens" the circut and cuts the brake light wire. THIS WILL ALSO EFFECT YOUR CRUISE CONTROL!!! IF THE INTERRUPT IS ON, YOUR CRUISE WILL NOT SHUT OFF!
Q: where did you get this Brake light interrupt thing
A: made it up.... I used to do car stereo, and i got pulled over cuz the cop saw me brake one day and gave me an "imprudent speed" ticket cuz he couldnt gun mee, si I fig if i can trick their mind with the switch, i can avoid more tix, Also works if you see a cop on the highway behind you and you dont want him to know ur slowing down...
Sorry if I missed any info, i will edit according to request, sorry for the shitty diagram, i did it in a rush.

Damn, that's kinda dangerous, not having the cruise control shut off. BTW, that would have been a good mod for me to do, but after my friend just totaled his LS, I'm not going to speed any more!

holla at that. motor mounts are always a good thing, and suspension mods also are great for that price.
