What are the steps no one is telling me for baic swaps steps like im doing a itr in a crx and no one respawned i nead the steps i had a website but lost it!!!

A b18c5 swap into a crx is not an easy swap, d series swaps are easy

you gotta be kidding right?

 

where in the bay area are you? i might be able to help depending on where you are. just start disconnecting things that are connected to the engine. then when its out start preppin the b18. put the harness on it. i dont know about b series but i leave the mounts and everything on too. it might be a little easier without the intake manifold. have you done any other engine work before?

 

if youre going all motor why not go ls/vtec or h22, start with a better less overpriced swap

 

i was alos thinking about h22 they pull pretty hard but their hella heavie can take turns at 50...


ive dont this before with two friends and just need stop good stteps and tips...

check HAsport they can probably help you... your gonna need new mounts, VTEC ecu, shift linkage, and axels (not sure if you got those already)... give them a call i bet they will help you out to the fullest... dont listen to most of these idiots on H-T that are only here to flame people who need help, to try and make them selves all high and mighty...

 

Well an ITR swap into a CRX......

Motor
New Axles
B-Series Mounts
ECU......you will have to convert your Engine to OBD-1 or your car to OBD-2
Steering Knuckles
Tranny

And replace the common things on the motor you will need to replace.

I thought about this swap, and if you buy the motor from HMO (4500) then the swap is going to cost you close to 7 grand, done correctly. For 7 Grand you could build your C1 or even a H22 and get better results than placing a stock C5 into your engine bay.

IMO a C5 swap is overrated for the EF, unless you had a ITR, and wrecked it, or get the engine for 3 grand or less

I agree with the "not being able to fix it part"

It seems you have a decent platorm to start from if your mods are, C1, Crower Cams, AN-R Header, and a Venom Intake Mani. Spend that 7grand into that Engine. Go to the All Motor forum and ask some of those guys how to build a strong C1 on 7 grand. I guarentee for 7 grand you could have a all motor beast of a C1
