Default carbon coated synchros... wtfm8bbq?!!1!1one!!12!@!

http://www.gear-speed.com/

They are available for most models ranging from SOHC to DOHC VTEC. We have these synchros custom manufactured strictly for us using the latest technology available. Our synchros have a carbon coating versus your stock metal teeth. This allows for quicker shifting at high RPM's and reduces high RPM grinding that is common in B series transmissions. The Carbon coating acts as a braking material and stops the gear faster during shifts versus your standard synchro ring. Why buy stock synchros when you can buy these for a fraction of the cost?? For any technical questions or questions about applications, give us a call at:909-476-7252 or check out our website at: http://www.gear-speed.com Buy from the people who know what Honda Transmissions are all about!! >>Gearspeed Inc.

it's where you treat metal with extreme temperature... they freeze it like the planet pluto. end result, it makes the metal more resilient.

Sounds good. I wonder how long they last. I may have to give them a call. Anyone know pricing or has anyone used them? I'll have my tranny torn apart pretty soon and I may just have to get some of these. Sounds better then buying some OE synchros.

Just talked to them. Synchros are $30 a piece. They do 3rd, 4th and 5th.

The Transmission rebuilds are cool too. They were $1,400 for a type 1 rebuild. A little more for the type 2 rebuild.

No, to get an LSD it is a type 2. Then type 3 is the LSD and the JDM Final Drive.

Type 4 and Type 5 is expensive, so I didn't really pay attention to them.

All of the rebuilds gives you a custom powdercoated color or polishing.

That brings up another question. I've heard of a bunch of different companies not making the 1st or 2nd synchros... why is that?

I have a gear-speed tranny in my turbo civic! Love it!

I have tried to slam it into gear to see if I can grind during fast shifts, but it just wont grind!

They don't post prices, since they only sell to shops, they are wholesale only. You have to buy trannys thru shops or places like Jasper or Overboost.com.

I got a D16Y8 5-speed tranny. The repair shop I go to uses them to rebuild all of their automatic tranny's, thru their sister company, H&A trans. I paid the wholesale price of $1100 for the Type I with carbon synchros and paid an extra $100 since I had a LSD already, they just installed it for me. I also had to give them a core tranny as well. I think the normal rate for that tranny is $1495.

Why don't these websites contain prices? Heres a hinter: If I am surfing the net for synchros, and I come up to your site, no matter if you try and offer diamond-coated synchros, without a price, i'll just press the back button and continue my search. I'm NOT going to call you guys and inquire, unless I am attracted by the price.
