Default Quantum Aluminum coilovers!

Found a set for $500 and its mint with aluminum body.Very lightweight! My problem with it is it comes with Swift springs and by looking at the numbers the springrate is Fr 12k Rear 10k.
Now is that too stiff?

Another set i found for $450 is the Zeal B6 with 12k 8k spring rate.

Shane,i remember you did have a set of Zeal's,how stiff were they? Streetable?
Hehehe Shane,i know you will droll over those Quantum's!

Anyone happend to have a website for Quantum? I looked in google and no luck

That depends on the quality and valving of the dampers. I am running 12k/10k with my TODA FIGHTEX coilovers and they are nicey nice. I drive them on the streets, but it is not a daily driver.

Where did you find the B6's for $450? They retail for ~$1834.

It may be stiff for some, but 12 and 10 is streetable for sure. On my old EK4 I was running 12 and 8 rates and I never had a problem with street running.

Wherever you found Quantums for $500 jump on it. The model I am looking at eventually for mine is closer to $4000. And Swift springs

Don't hesitate. Quantum is an English company so maybe go to some UK boards and somebody can get you some info.

I'm running Zeal S6 with 12/8 on the street.

It's firm but still streetable for my taste.

I have ZEAL B6 on my EM1 too. Feel pretty comfortable coz I set it to the 2nd click front & back. I'm sure it will be quite a bit stiffer once I crank it up.

Use this setup for street & autocross. So far I'm very happy with it.

What kinda Quantum did u find? i assume those are the "height adj. only" ones?

Austin, he's in Malaysia.

I have the Quantum website at home; it ain't much to look at anyways...

I believe Quantum is actually the brand name for the coilovers designed by Nova Engineering (JPN), and like Chris says, they are built in England. The 2 higher end Quantum coilovers have Nova springs instead of Swift/Tohatsu.

All of their coilovers are single adjustable, and don't come with any dustboots. Makes me think they were intended for circuit racing...but those spring rates wouldn't be so harsh on the street. I believe Ben @ AJR has some firsthand experience with them...

Sorry to reply so late....but bad news, the next time i went back to the shop they sold the Quantums and Zeal already

The quantums was height adj and also stiffness adj (frm the looks of it)

On the the hand i found 2 other set of quantums but they are for the R34 and EVO-7. All have swift springs.
