The wipers on my 95 'Teg just suddenly stopped working. I checked the fuse its fine. The back wiper is working and i can hear the motor running strong. I'm assuming its a linkage problem. I took off the wiper arms, but I can't seem to get the cover thats protecting the wiper mechanisms off. I tried a set of pliers and a flat screw driver. There are five little disk-like covers that seem to hold it down close to the windshield, and under the hood there are v-shaped caps that hold the cover in place. I tried to remove one of the disk-like caps and it snapped off. I don't wanna do anymore damage to my car, but i cant afford to drive without working wipers. Any Suggestions on how to get the cover off, and maybe fix the problem. ThankS

Ps : I'm not much of a mechanic, so give me the simplest explanation possiable, lol!
