Default 2001 Prelude tranny Problems

Okay, just to let u all in, im new 2 the import world. I used to drive a 88 firebird trans am 305. Well i decided to get me a honda, a prelude. well its a 2001 base model. well its been great for the 2 months i have had it. but dismourning when tryin to go 2 school it would not go in reverse. I tryed and tryed, but would not go, so i was what the helll, i need 2 get 2 school so i grinded but it then go stuck in reverse and i pushed it out and parked it. When back 2 my car after school it was fine no problems anyways took to tranny shop to get looked at, he thinks its the bushings in the shift linages. well he told me i should go ahead and put new clutch in sence its going 2 be all torn apart anyways. Well like i said im new 2 hondas. What kind of clutch should i put in it. I am lookin to start to do mods to and and try in get it in the low 12s.

another questions if u know any web pages with information to help me out with mods and specs please post. THANKS

PS:sorry its a long post

low 12s? geez... you'll need a sc61 turbo and associated accesories. built bottom end, and plenty of tuning. you're looking at a very costly car to make really fast. it's not american muscle, it's more for handling than anything.

with all that power, i suggest you put a 6puck ACT clutch or something 6puck to handle the power.

the reverse problem is pretty common, search the forum, there's plenty of posts on it.
