1990 Honda Accord LX. a year ago the car got caught in a flood in Savannah, eversince there has been a grinding sound coming from underneath the alternator, mabey the compressor or something. Any Ideas? It is loud enough to be heard from inside the car when it is running. HELP ME PLEASE?!?!?!?!?!

Have you had a mechanic look at it?

 

Yeah 3 times and every time he couldn't (or more likley didn't look) find the problem. I think it might be the compressor but i really don't know. It is hard to spot just where the sound is coming from when your under the car.

 

The compressor is on top of the alternator

 

Oh. What is the big round part right under the alternator? I looked at it and it has the name DENSO on it if that helps. I also looked through my manual thing and couldn't find what the part was.
