Went to go get my car tunned at NRG PERFORMANCE in tallahasse, FL the dude was messeng with my v-afc so im like cool he knows what he's doing.....he charged me like $125 for the hour...anyway..i was at 170hp....he told me he got me up to 199hp i got the print out and everything....brought to my other friends dyno cause i was about to get more work done and my sh*t was still at 170 on the dot....come to find out he just messed with his error factor and kept adjusting it up so i'd think he was doing something ....i heard he's done this to a lot of people so be careful

 

you didnt watch him tune your car?

 

In his defense 199 on his dyno could be 170 on another dyno, every dyno is different.

That and there aren't any good tuners in Tallahassee that I know of. Orange Park has a dyno, but I've heard bad things about Speedcraft as well. 125.00 for an hour isn't unreasonable though.

 

ok he did also adjust the cams......but at the same time when it comes to the
v-afc i didn't know how to do it....thats why i brought it to him.....and he was cuttin me deals left and right cause i told him i'd be comin back.....so i had no reason to think he'd jerk me.....and no it's not that it was two different dynos the man just jerked me....he did it to one of my friends and my friends caught him doing it....i just didn't know we were talking about the same guy thats why i went anyway

IM not Sean I promise you that. I know sean. Hes the owner of NRG. I thought they went out of business! Hes built and tuned many cars. Thats why I dont understand how he could have done this or maybe I could.

 

he moved his shop to some other spot.....bigger....and see thats the same thing i heard.....that he knew his sh*t and that he has done it a lot.....so he was real good.....but yup yup he sh*tted on the boy....but never again

 

Read your vafc settings and see what they are.

 

well what should they be so i know.....assuming that all the settings were stock???

 

Live and learn dood. Be very careful in selecting your tuners. Be right there while they tune and ASK questions.

What's funny is how some of Sean's 230WHP civics run 9.30's in the 1/8 at 76-78mph.

 

I have known shaun for many years and worked for him for not too long. He is a piece of $hit and will scam you just to pay for his habbits. he built a 10 second car form scamming people like us. Avoid at all costs. he will take your money and spend it on himself. And when you come looking or asking for your stuff, he will give you the runaround as long as it takes to scam sombody else to cover his *** with you and the cycle of scamming starts all over again.
