Default Need Car buying Advice

I'm interested in buying this car:
I have priced it so it will sell fast. I am going to be purchasing a new car and would like to use this money as a down payment. The only problem that it has is that it idols a little rough when it is cold. After a minute, when it warms up a little, it runs perfect. I am pretty sure that it is a sensor that is malfuntioning. I know which one it is but have not had the time to have it replaced.

122000 miles
Automatic
aftermarket CD player
Sunroof
New timing belt
New radiator
New sparkplugs and wires

its a 2dr.
Price is $4k but is negotiable (probably $3500 to $3700). good price? and is the idling a big problem? if so, cost to repair? TIA

What year is the car? And why do you want a automatic?

I'd reccomend heading over to edmunds.com and checking out the "True market value."

There is a lot of valuable info there. Don't jump into the sale. Do your research and buy a car that's been taken care of.

Thats a nice price for that car but, i would do more research. If you look around a little bit more im pretty sure that youwill find something better.

Id explain to your parents that a 5sp is cheaper option for you since your young.
Good examples:
-Better gas mileage (esp with gas prices now)
-Replace breaks less frequently
-If you have to stop IMMEDIATELY you can down shift
-5sp's are cheaper to replace/fix

Im sure there are other reasons too; just act convincing when talking to them about it. Dont bring up about accellerating quicker, racing, ect. We all know you want a 5sp because they are more fun to drive and quicker in some aspects. Just my .02cents y0
