IDRC - The New BFGoodrich "True Street" Class
Anyone have the class rules and regulations for this?
I was on IDRC website and can't seem to find anything other than the listing of the class under the MIR event schedule.
Thanks.

Yeah Jonathan, I can take a good guess as to what the set up has to be, obviously some sort of DOT approved drag radial... but my biggest concern is "how much" interior still has to be there.

Pro-Am FWD rules with the exception you have to run Radial DOT Tires.. (BFG drag radials, any regular street tires, etc... )

Yeah, what is the "real" deal... because I know Pro/Am class cars are not full interior and dump the exhaust. I will run on drag radials all day long, that is all fine... I just don't want to hit a snag if I show up with no back seats, no pass seat and or an exhaust system that dumps off the downpipe.... whatever it might be.
Thanks.

we are pretty leniant on the rules of the interior pieces at this time since the class is brand new... what i would like to see is all the cars with full interior.. but you can remove the rear seats and necessary interior panels if you need too for safety reasons..
thanks

What are you thoughts about the exhaust? Dump, 12" from the rear beam or out the back?
Sorry for the questions, we have a car that is definetly going to make the trip to MIR and I am just trying to have everything covered this week.
I do appreciate your help.

I'm not trying to be a pain in the *** and I understand that the class is new, but I think a clear set of rules would benefit everyone interested in this class. There seems to be alot of contradicting information in this post: https://honda-tech.com/zero...age=1 .
In your other post you stated:
"yeah the old Pro-Am AWD/RWD class was able to run slicks and no exhaust... our new TRUE STREET class is geared towards more street cars with full exhaust, street tires, and full interior..
sorry for the confusion.."
You also wrote:
"TRUE STREET Class:
- registered
- must run dot approved radial tires (drag radials, steet tires) NO SLICKS!
- must run factory glass (No Lexan)
- no wheelie bars
- no fiberglass doors
Basically a full street car.. must have factory dashboard.. no cut up interiors... etc.."
And also this:
"basically what we mean by having no cut up interior.. is anything that has to do with the unibody... no cutting of anything metal basically.. you can remove the rear seats and passanger seat if you would like too.."
Sorry, but I'm still confused. The Pro/Am rules would mean the car doesn't need to be registered, doesn't need an interior, and doesn't need an exhaust. It seems to be the opposite of everything you said in the other post.

Isn't that the same as the power street class in the NDRA? Drag Radials, 1 power adder, full interior. That sounds like a true street class to me. But, what do I know, I run Pro Stock.
the Pro-Am rules are a guideline on what the rules for TRUE STREET are but yes all cars must be registered and run an exhaust system that exits out the rear of the vehicle.. we do require interior for both Pro-Am and TRUE STREET.. in Pro-Am we allow more interior panels and seats to be removed.. in TRUE STREET we want all the cars to have full interior.. so just in case i would bring your back seats and panels..
thanks.
thanks.
Thanks for working out the class rules with us on here. This sounds like it will turn into a really nice class to race in, now all I have to do is find the back 1/2 of my interior and I will be set.
I have "other commitments" this weekend, but I will be racing IDRC at Atco and at Maple Grove.

All these classes with rear seats are retarded, honestly. Why should I go to the junker to BUY another rear seat that I really don't want anyway? Why should I race with a rear bench if I don't even use one on the street? All these "street" classes seem to be getting sillier and sillier. Ugh.

Cry baby...
I hear ya though, if you are running an import at the track there is a good chance your interior is removed from the front seats back.... even more so if you are all motor.

I wish a couple of weeks ago you would have posted this instead of posting that it was ok to run without a passenger seat and rear interior. Oh well, I won't make it to MIR, but I'll try to find an interior and make it to the Atco race.
