The e-brake light on my 98 seems to have a bad connection somewhere.

Usually happens in the mornings. The light will stay on for a while, then go off and sometimes even come back on again.

Has anyone else had to deal with this?

 

Check your brake fluid. More than likely it is a little low. Top it off and enjoy the lack of brake light.

 

mine does the same. turns off by it self and sometimes when i press on my brake. it comes back on.

 

there's 3 things that makes that light come on....

-low on brake fulid
-fluid is not going to one part of the brake system
-E Brake is on....

 

mine does it when its cold in the morning...guy at south motors honda said its the weather messes wit the sensor...

but the brake fluid info sounds more realistic...

 

Well I checked the fluid and it didn't seem low, but I topped it off anyways.

We shall see if it helps.
