I was looking into changing my font door/component speakers in my 96 accord ex. Can anyone tell me how to get the speakers out (esp. the components) and/or have a diagram or schematic of it? Also, is it possible to just replace the speakers on the door and hook them up to crossover to the factory components.

The easiest way to change them is to pop the inside door panel off. Just get a flathead screwdriver and work the snaps off. You'll hear all kinds of noises you won't like but you're not hurting anything. Go all the way around the perimeter of the panel and once you've done this you'll have to disconnect the power windows/locks. Then just pull the panel up over the lock. As for wiring, you can buy connectors from several places that will connect to your new speakers so you can just plug and play with your factory wiring. Just get out there and do it and you'll see its not really too difficult.

 

Thanks for the info on the doors, it sounds easy enoughg to do. Now as for my other question, can anyone tell me how to replace the components in the dashboard?
