ive searched, need some help and/or advice
well with the recent demise of 3 axles im in need of some stronger axles considering my 2L isnt even in the car yet, ive researched and found that gator axles seem to have a pretty good rep. anyone running them in a all motor car having problems with them?? i already PMed flamenco-t about them.
alright, now to the next subject at hand. im lookin for info on a spool. ive searched and found good info but both of the brands of spools that have had decent info on them have been prodrive and TCI. both had issues with axles not wanting to insert into them all the way. have they changed the design slightly??? does anyone know?? next, where do i get a spool at?? prodrive offers them direct from autowerx. at $615 i think its a bit pricy for a ****** spool. im just lookin for other options and prices

i have a rob moore spool(an older one) and i have no problem getting stock sized axles to go in. only bad thing is that there is no place for a speedo gear. i paid 550 for mine.

i been running the gator axles stage 2's, for over six months and over 50 passes at the track. i have yet to have had a problem, dropping the clutch between 4.5-5.5K rpms and making 181/142. i don't know how much this might help you, but is as much info as i can provide. also i have daily drivin on these axles for over six months, about 200 miles a week and 120 miles round trip to the track!
The ProDrive Spool and axles in Duc's car has been the only setup to hold the power. It's hard to make sharp turns (if you're driving it on the street) but once you get on the freeway it's fine! I'm sure that's extreme overkill for you but DSS/Quaife's have worked fine for Brian and Will. If you're already going with a Quaife that's just another axle option. Good Luck
thanx adam, im NA so i dont need something as extreme as prodrive. plus i dont have the budget some of the GZ boys do. best bang for the buck, thats y im here, to research.
