yeah, they make pretty good stuff from what ive seen and heard. i would stay away from the stroker if you are looking for sound quality though... one of my friends had the vega series, i beleive, it was black with a red surround and it sounded awesome... the stealth series, their cheapest series, sounds pretty damn good aswell.

Why the hell would you stay away from the stroker??? That sub was a break through in the car audio world. Before the stroker what was there...nothing!! <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by bassisliffe &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">any good? i want one of the sexy chrome ones, a 15 inch HED could take 700 rms? </TD></TR></TABLE>
All low end subs are going to sound the same...what can you expect from a sub that retails for under $100....a little better sound than stock!!

As he stated "if you are looking for sound quality"

The stroker absolutely sucks for sound quality, which it wasn't even designed for. So what the guy said about staying away from it if you want any SQ is 100% correct

?? that makes no sense, and if it's directed to me, don't worry. I love Cerwin Vega myself, always have. The stroker is an awsome *** sub for SPL (pretty much the tech in it is over 30 years old and it's still winning contests)... but obviously not cool for SQ

whats ever you do dont get the HE its crap. i had it in a good instal and it was crap. ive heard teh HE2 was not really impressed either

i would look into
element designs
kicker VR
infinity perfect
alpine type r
image dynamics
Xtant
JL w3

the vega HED15 is a really good sub when installed properly id give it about 1.5 cu ft sealed with about 400 watts to it clean power. u will be happy what ever u do dont over power that sub. more power doesnt equal better sound or spl just distortion when applied to the wrong sub.

ive used 12 inch comp vrs before i loved them, ive used 10 inch idqs before and liked them, i won't get the rf hes then so im stuck on the hed or a directed comp x'

i want to get all the juice out of mt amp so i want subs that can run at 1ohm, the comp x has dual 2 ohm coils

can i wire 2 dvc 4ohm subs like the cvrs to 1ohm? on the amp?

i might just save up for 2 15 inch comp vrs and feed them 600 rms each and never want more bass again

i think the HED are a bit cheap quality. i have a 10 inch IT and it moves air.
i would go with either the IT series (discontinued but still avaliable on ebay) or their new V-max series sub.

you can wire a amp to a 1 ohm load if it is a specified 1 ohm capable amp. most mono one channel amps are capable of doing such what amp are u using?

you wont... a single 4 ohm vc is 4 ohms. a dual 4 ohm can be wired in parallel for 2 ohms or in series for 8 ohms.
