Default Fitting bucket seats in a 4th Gen Prelude

Hi guys,

over here in the UK it's pretty nigh on impossible to get runners/brackets to fit bucket seats in a 4th gen Prelude.

I want to fit some Sparco race seats with harnesses but have had no luck in finding subframes.

Do you guys know of any manufacturers stateside that would export to UK, or have any of you fitted buckets and used any other subframes e.g. Civics, etc.

Thanks for any info!

Steven.

No takers?

Surely one of you guys must be running racing seats in your lude?

I was thinking about Sparcos but would consider other makes if they are easier to fit.

Sparco makes seat brackets for the 4th gen... laser cut. Wedge Engineering also makes brackets.

@ries can you tell me who to contact about these brackets?

I have emailed Sparco's representatives in the UK and they forwarded it onto Sparco Italy and they both said they have no brackets for my car.

If you can put me in touch with someone who would prove me wrong it would be very much appreciated.

Update!

Just been on the Sparco USA site and yes they do seem to produce a subframe for my car.

It is a US-only part as the UK distributors cannot get their hands on them.

I will contact Sparco to look at importing one direct.

Thanks for the help guys!

Steven.

Well, there is still an outstanding question!

As my car is right hand drive I am not sure which subframe I will need (I only plan to change my drivers seat at the moment!). Hopefully the bolts will all fit and it is only determined by the position of the seat adjuster bar.

If it is still the RHS subframe, the reference is 5001147 - base (price $60) and you also need reference 500 - adapter (price $40). The LHS base ref is 5001146.

If you go to the Sparco USA site and navigate to the seats section, there is a link on the RHS at the bottom to some pdf's including installation instructions and one for application/price list.
