Default question about tranny problem and ignition from my cousin

my cousin says he has to pump the clutch while trying to ignite his car for it to start...

94LS bone to the stock EVERYTHING except deck anyways.. 1994 w/ 94,000miles...

is it a bad clutch that needs replacing? if it does...how much would it cost to replace a clutch w/ parts & labor generally?

I think they're two completely different problems...if two at all.

Tell him to leave the clutch depressed, and start it, stop cranking it, then crank it again. I sincerely doubt that the clutch and ignition are interfering with each other.
