i'm having trouble installing the brake pedal return spring...i've been at it for a few hours now and i cant see a possible way to get it on. there's just not enough room up there to fit my hands and needle nose plyers at the same time.

Since i was having trouble, i tested the brakes without the spring and the pedal and brakes function properly without it, they just feel a little soft

anyone have any tips for installation of this PITA spring or know off hand if i can ride without it for a few days. any help is appreciated

yes they are hard to get on. you'll need some long pliers. took me a while to get them in so be patient

 

i dunno, i drove around tonight with the spring not connected and it seems to be fine.......maybe i can leave it off till i get some time to mess with it again
