k20, lighter, great potential. not that the h22 doesnt have it, but k swaps are pretty rare.

I would do a K20 for the weight distribution and the power that it can create. Plus it looks good having a motor like that in an integra. Theres not that many swaps like that rolling around.

The downside to both motors is that they both have shitty transmissions. Neither use a shift linkage like the B and D series motors; they use that horrible cable actuated system that does not respond very well to quick shifts and kills your synchros. Anyone that has ever driven an accord or a prelude knows what im talking about.

I definitely dig the potential of the k20, however, as of right now, they are a little rough on the pocket book.... I'm not sure that it's fair to compare a 2,000 dollar swap to a 6,000 dollar swap.

yeah i too agree that the k motors have great potential, i dont think however they will be bigger than the b series has been, those are some big shoes to fill, the only thing that will make k swaps more abundant in the coming years is the lack of b series motors that will be around since they arent being made anymore, brings a tear to my eye :sad face:

Hm, I'd disagree. All signs point to the K-series being as big, if not bigger, than the b-series "empire", if you will. They respond so much better to mods. Naturally Honda's aftermarket will make the switch over to the k-series as well, at least those who haven't done so already. Its just a matter of time.
For my teg I'd go h22 though. To hell with the weight-distribution myth that people perpetrate.

This is true though. So, pop out that b-series you got, clean it up and set it aside; one day, it will be a collector's item. I fully intend to do that with the B18c1; the day it dies, its coming out, and being brought back to original specs with as many brand new OEM parts as possible. Even if it doesn't become a collector's item, it'll be something to show the kiddies; "This was how we did it back in the day: behold the venerable b18c1." And the kids will be like "wtf is that? Where's the fusion reactor core? How did you power the anti-gravity pods?"

kseries is the new thing for sure; but just because its new dosent mean the old bseries or hseries motors arent fast. But again; there is TONS of potential for the kseries motors. IMO 2k for a h22 and then 4k in parts would take a 6k k20.

Where are you finding kseries motors for under 4k shipped? Thats SUPER cheap!

h22a, from what ive heard a 92-96 jdm h22a will beat any type-s rsx in the 1/4 lighter car but the k20 is a lighter motor. keep the h series alive

agreed, if type-r didnt have such a high redline, it would most likely beat that too. But b18c5 have quite the price tag also.

yes all the STOCK mounts, you need aftermarket mounts, you can prob get it with rsx axles, you need AFTERMARKET axles, this swap is not super easy like a b swap man
be aware, im doin one right now!!
