Fastest stock GSR's
Can anyone tell me which 3rd generation GSR's (94-01) that were available in NA were the fastest?
I'm in the process of buying a 1995 model, I was just wondering if it is faster than other gsr's
Thanks

omg DO NOT turn this into obd1 VS obd2 thread. lol mainly weight from what i've heard too. But to be honest youwont really tell a difference... it depends on the driver really no matter what kinda race.

Its all in the driver/condition of the motor. There are factory freaks
. The biggest factor of course is the guy behind the wheel.
They were lighter in 94-95, how much by...I don't know. Also, OBD1 does own...when you mod. However, in stock trim there isn't a difference.

honestly.... what's gonna be the weight difference no more then 50 lbs... also a 94-95 isn't gonna probably run quite as high if you were to compression test... it's a toss up if you're just talking stock
That OBDI argument is useless if you plan on going past bolt-ons in regards to modifications since most tuning devices require OBDI anyway (meaning you'll be running an OBDI ecu in your '96+ car).
I've always thought the differences to be pretty minimal and could be made up in driver skill or just plain taking care of the motor. A properly broken in and treated OBDII GS-R will stomp on a poorly treated OBDI car.

Not being rude or anything, but Honda does make factory turbo cars. One year of the Acura Legend had a turbo, and then theres the recent 90HP Turbo car from Honda. But only available in Japan. Honda does make factory turbo, its just rare to see/find them. I believe if you search the recent forums, there was a post on this earlier.

I hit a 15.102@91.59, I dynoed it after my 1/4 mile run and laid down 150whp. I have a 1996 GSR 2dr. I don't really believe in the OBD1 vs OBD2 stuff. When you go look for a GSR just take it for a drive, look around there is going to be some lady who wants to get rid of hers who didn't beat the **** outta it, I waited 2 and half months before I came home with mine. No regrets.
