Default curious - motor sounds

okay this is an unusual question, but what makes the motors (specifically F22A/F22B and H22/H23) motors sound so different from other Honda motors? To me, a car that has any of these motors sounds so distinct in comparison to others. Of course, that's only with an intake, but put a civic with an intake next to a prelude with an intake, the prelude sounds so much more stout...what causes it? The closest I've heard to the sound are tegs, but still, why do those series sound so much better? Does it have something to do with the size of the motors?

umm yes, 2.2L vs a 1.6 or 1.8. just like how if u put a V8 next to a 4 banger how the v8 makes your body vibrate and so on. and also, having no cat /resinator makes a big difference. without those the car will sound raspy and like a lawn mower at least on civics and tegs
