Default low boosting a semi stock SOHC

i just finished my swap, 99 y8 block w/52k and a z6 head 95 si trans, basic bolts, act stage 2 clutch, all the goodies. very good cleaning of the pistions and that sort of things when it was apart. its running really quick for what the motor is, but im gettin a itch for some boost, but i need some reliability considering its daily driven, and weekend track ever once ina while. i keep hearing horror stories of kids runnin boost and running into problems but almost gurenteed 90% of them did it the wrong way... if i do this its being done right, granted itll be a throw together kit. but ill do it right w/ tuning involved. but anyways, anyone running 6-8 psi on stock internals and not having problems? i dont beat the **** outta my car, but i just wanna be able to have some fun with it. i have no plans on boosting the hell out of this motor, 8psi max if not 7. if anyone has some 2 cents lemme hear them. thanks

Tuning is the key to boosting safely. As well as fuel management.

I just recently pieced together my own kit and I`m going to be running Hondata S200B with 450cc DSM injectors. This is also going on a SOHC VTEC motor. Good luck!

why that head/block combo. seems kinda backwards to me...
anyway, stock z6, ran 7-9 psi daily for well over a year and a half
10 psi peak several times with no problems.
i didn't boost like a maniac, but when i boosted i boosted hard.
engine is still alive and running well.
tune well and keep maintenance and you will be rewarded boost that will outlive the car

i bought a odb2 ex motor for 400 bux running, and all i had was the odb1 dizzy for some reason the odb1 and 2 dizzys are different sizes to mate to the cam. and i had the odb1 z6 head layin around, so i threw it on to get the motor finished. no real reason, just worked out that way. and i sold the y8 head for 200. cant complain
