Default All you SOHC soliders.....

I rented a local dyno facility here in S. Fla today and invited a friend with his '99 Civic DX coupe whom I had done a mini-me conversion on about a year ago. It's a stock Y8 head and IM, DC 4-2-1 header, AEM CAI, Apex'i N1 catback and the stock OBD-II P2P EX ECU. Numbers were:

115whp- 2nd gear pull
124whp- 3rd gear pull
131whp- 4th gear pull

131whp / 110wtq with a true "bolt-on" mini-me D16Y7

3rd. but on the 3rd gear pull he was on a ex computer then he put the p28 on for the 3rd pull. Dave why didn't you tell them about the 4th pull? Robert at Twilight told us you can run through all the gears hard so he did it. according to the dyno it only took 14 secs to get from 0-100. it was funny watching him run it hard on the dyno

Gabby didn't give me the sheet, but he'll drop it off so I can take a pic of it and put it up here.

BTW we used a Y8 headgasket and yes it's a stock Y7 bottom end

i have a mechanic working on my head rightnow, and he needs the valve guide seals, and cuz i need every other gasket imaginable, i'm gonna buy a kit

is whats the difference between a normal y8 (which i hear is tripple layered) and a double y8? or is there even such a difference? and would it come as part of a kit?

You just pull the middle layer out on the Y8 headgasket.
