Default Before and after.... "Built" by yours truely.... 56k maybe?!

My friend recently picked up a 2000 Si, for $8,000, and had some money left over and wanted to turbo it. Basically he gave me money, and his car for a few days and heres what I've done so far:

Before: 17" wheels, dumped on H & R springs(didnt look too bad, IMO, but the 17"s were heavy as some **** and it rubbed all the time.)

After: 15" si wheels, ground control coilovers

Before ::Engine: JDM b16, basic I/H/E setup.

During, couple friends helping out :

After:: turbocharged b16 :: max rev manifold, tial wastegate, 3" DP, t3/t04 turbo, custom chargepiping, greddy BOV, spearco front mount, anodized black, vortech fmu, and some other small ****.

So there you have it.... the turbo install took less than a full day... its nice to know people who can weld oil pans for you at 11pm

Things left to do: new oem front bumper with oem lip, CF hood, CTR headlights, and some real fuel management. Overall, it runs AWESOME, and looks a lot better too, IMO. right now its just 6psi, but hopefully that'll change soon.

feel free to flame or whatever

the whole car purchase situation was sort of wierd, and made me nervous at first. basically my friend found it in autotrader and asked me to go down and drive it for him, since he's 17 and i'm 18, he couldnt legally drive it... so we pull up to this ******* GHETTO *** car dealership, which was based out of a double wide mobile home. found the civic tucked away in the corner and started looking it over. found out it had kyb's, H&R's, intake, header, exhaust, and some other small ****. The guy was asking $10k for it, but he honestly had no idea what was on the car and what it was worth. I explained how i'd have to replace the whole bumper, and fix some other things and i talked him down to $8500 out the door. the main selling point was when i actually drove the car, it shifted so nice, and pulled REALLY good for what it had on it. as for the history of the car we arent sure.... the guy from the "dealership" said that he bought it at an auction because he thought it was pretty, lol but i think the car was stolen, then recovered or something becuase it was missing some odds and ends(headrest, stereo, and some other stuff), and the bumper was way messed up.(had a salvage title too)

and ya the header is for sale, but to be honest its pretty dented on the bottom. PM me if you want it, i'll get some pics for ya.

thanks for the comments everyone, its been a fun project, and the best part is , i get to drive it until i put my car back togehter!
