Default 70mm tb too big?

what's the biggest you guys go on a tb? my friend just happened to give me a 70mm tb that he doesn't need and was wondering if i could use this on my setup...i'm gonna be running a stock b16 block w/ a built head, itr cams, springs and retainers, and probably an intake mani as well...i'll be using a t3/4 turbo boostin as much as i can! =P

any help is appreciated, thanks

run a 3 inch charge pipe and 2.5 inch hot pipe, should help top end a little bit

Care to explain how your top end will benefit from this?

We run 70's-74's on all of our built motors but you shouldn't have any problems, as you mentioned just be sure to upgrade your IN manifold.

A 70mm (2.7") throttle body will do no good if you dont run ~70mm piping to go with it. IE whats the point of a 70mm (2.7") throttle body when your piping is only 2.5" - no reason. However if you run larger piping, the larger throttle will help.

The biggest air restriction is always in the smallest part of the system - weather that be the throttle body or the piping.
