My stereo receiver won't even ask for a code?!

Default My stereo receiver won't even ask for a code?!

Well Stereo was just not hooked up correctly but it turns out that its already connected and now its just not askin for a code... I dunno what to do and I'm out of ideas.. Any suggestions..
<btw>. i am planning on buying a new stereo system but until i get the money it would be nice to at least have a working stereo..

u need to get get the serial number off the bottom of the radio, then either call your local honda dealer or go down there.. going there might be easier sometimes.. give them the serial number, vin number and proof the car is yours IE registration, insurance info and they can look it up.. sometimes they will charge you but jsut be cool w/ the person behind the desk and they may do it free..

My 97 EX radio never needed a code after it got taken out and I had to put it back in...It worked fine

does the radio even do anything at all?? possibly you have a blown fuse...

honda dealer got you on that one.... ouch!

96-98 radios did not require a code, as none of them had CD players or tape players built into the main unit i dont think...

that's what i was thinkin too but i gotta find a place to get the right fuse (small town) but maybe radio shack (hopefully)

yes radio shack should sell the correct fuse or any auto parts store
