Anyone using a Hamp filter at the track?

I dont think so... Mike @ IPS recommended the smaller filter, he said there's a slight increase in oil pressure with them over the larger HAMP filter.

The higher pressure is better especially for the track. That is why Honda switched all of their normal oil filters over to the smaller size.

Does this mean that all the 'small' Honda OE replacement filters deliver a pressure increase equivelant to the rumored Hamp bump?

10 for $125? Not a deal by any means, considering Password JDM and IPS sell them for $6-$7...
I love my Hamp filters. I've noticed that my oil actually stays cleaner longer. It's crazy, I've used them the past 3-4 oil changes, and since then, my oil looks almost new even after 2,000 miles. It used to turn black and gross long before then when I was using other filters. I can't believe it, considering my car has nearly 130K on the stock B18A...
Whether they do anything great for oil pressure remains to be seen, but I gurantee that they improve oil quality in your engine.

I got one for free as a grab bag gift last Christmas, never thought twice about it really. It sits on my shelf next to a load of P1 filters in the original size. I never found any conclusive evidence strongly for or against the smaller HAMP filter, I might try it out just for the hell of it, but I wouldn't go looking to buy it.
I read here: http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/ back when Honda started to discontinue the original stock size filter that the P1 filters had favorable reviews so I grabbed enough to get me through a season and that's what I currently have stuck on there.
HAMP is good stuff though.

stronger casing, better seals, nmore pleats in the filter, m,ore perferations inthe inner filter wall, the same check release valve system and a magnet to attract metal particals inteh oil.
honda filters have a lighter casing, less quality on the seals and rubber used, and do not have as many pleats.
Hamp filters are provided as stock units onoem JDM type r and S model hondas. the other trim levels get a standard honda filter.
that should be enough info. . . .

$60 shipped for 10 small Hamp filters sounds like a better deal than $125 shipped...

au-gsr, Where can I find evidence for this info? Don't take it the wrong way, it's just that often info on the web is not very reliable. I hope all that is true, I'll buy some more for my next oil change. In any case, I've used them before too, about 6-8 times. Both large and small. Don't have any info on oil pressure either, but I tracked the car with the small ones.
Also, does anyone know if HAMP filters have synthetic or paper based filtering media? I even asked one of the vendors once and he couldn't tell me for sure.
I thought HAMP stood for Honda After Market Products or something of that sort. I read (on the web) that Spoon uses the small ones on their track cars, but I had no idea they came stock on some of the JDM cars.

i thought HAMP products were created as an alternative to expensive OEM parts in other countries? I am 75% sure
i read that on a foreign HAMP webpage. Anyone else have any info on this. Also, the s2000 filter is the same as the fat hamp filter if anyone cares.
