Default Best Place to buy B18B in PA or have shipped. Opinions wanted!!

I have searched but found nothing on where to buy from.. just more where NOT to buy from.

Doing a B18B swap into a del sol.. need the whole swap.. engine bay is empty and ready for it.. I thought OsakaJDMMotors looked good at 1600 for everything until eveyrone told me not to get it there.. Sohfast wants 2400 shipped, but that's a little pricy I think. Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

Thought about your local recycler? I got my B18b from local yard w/ 10k mi on it. I could verify this because the car was there too. Wasn't JDM though.

From what I hear it's better to go with a non-JDM motor because the wiring harness on RHD cars is not the correct length.. so you either need to get a USDM harness or extend yours.. How much did you pay for the full B18B swap?

The only thing about a junkyard that worries me is they say 30k miles but it could have 120k on it. I guess a simple compression test could at least verify the stability of the motor.

I payed 800bux for the complete engine, no tranny or axles. If they say 30k ask to see the car it is in or from. Simply check the odometer. Guy said 10k, odometer said same thing. Use the harness that came in the car, not the one that comes with the engine. For a B swap you need to lengthen the thermoswitch wires from behind the engine next to the oil filter to the thermostat housing. That is where the B thermoswitch is located. Map sensor is on the throttlebody and purge selenoid is on the drivers' side rear of the intake plenum. Both of these wires need to be lengthened. Scratch what I just said, may or may not apply, CRX-obd0 related. Del sol is closer to plug and play, it is obd1.

thanks for the info.. i'm still debating on going obd1 or obd2.. just a matter of how valuable the knock sensor is to me versus hte extra $.. i'm trying to keep somewhat of a budget.. and trying to make 350whp at the same time.

lol, I like the part about somewhat of a budget.
I kept an excel spreadsheet with every cost incurred with my swap/mods. Scary!
I've passed 8 grand minus the cost of the car and still have turbo to go! My car is nothing fancy, just basic stuff! New spreadsheet for turbo related stuff.

Fatzingers auto salvage in Bangor, Pa. They are a Honda/Acura yard. They'll have a complete swap for you, and are relatively close.

thanks for all the input!! I'm really thinking about going OsakaJDMMotors again.. they quoted me 1600 for the whole swap including the shift linkage and motor mounts for it. Can't beat the price even if I have a little hassle and need to spend an additional 300 bucks on misc. I will call the other places listed however. Thanks again!
